Default no 'full ahead' from stationary...

hi hunters

i seem to be having the same problem time and again.

over the last couple of years after each install i get the same malfunction - i dont have these clicked on through sh comm.

when i call for full ahead from stationary i get the command then nothing - no power. yet if i call for full reverse, then call for full ahead it always works.

this has baffled me because it has never rectified itself. so i wonder if it is something that can be changed in one of the files: its like a malfunction but this is july 39 out in the baltic....

and is the same during future patrols during the war. i wonder if it is a stock problem or bug ??

any clues, any one else experience this ?

Usually it's like this:

if your Diesel are off, and you order any speed, it takes a while to bring them back on. In my game at least it's like this:hmm:!

yeah, some sort of bug, order back slow or something, and then forward often helps..

It comes from stock I'm afraid....thankfully it is rarely encountered by most.

The only other time I've encountered this is when using SH3 Commander with the sabotage and malfunctions facility enabled.

i´ve seen this behaviour in rub mod and GWX.

But i think that it gives some realism to the game. like a car , perhaps the engines won´t start at instant and could take some time. or a mechanical malfuntion.

It´s easy solve it but it takes some time... order reverse and forward . the engine must start to run.

in my last patrol i was near of the u-boat destruction by a plane with this bug.

i was taking screenshots of the lifeboats mod when a plane appears to scene and i have to crash dive, but the engines don´t start inmediatelly and it takes a lot more time to dive. i was very very near this time. :hmm:
