Default U94 returns to the seas!!!

Well, now that uni is over, and exams finished, U94 could return to the seas. Yesterday, after getting back into the swing of SH3 I sunk a very modest 16500 tonnes of shipping, not too much really. But one ship I sank in a convoy just outside Gibralter, the Corvette merchant's made NO effort to try and find me, or so it appeared.

Their searchlights were on, popping flares into the night sky, but not a single asdic ping, nor depth chargh dropped. I snuck away without a single challenge. Its july 1941, and I was expecting the escorts to be far more aggressive. I dont know when radar comes into play, but I made a very daring surface attack on a convoy on the surface at night during a thunderstorm and bagged me an 8250 ton ore carrier. Fired from 800 meteres, I thought they were going to see me but they didnt.

The lack of response from the Allied escorts has been somewhat dissapointing....here's hoping that changes!!!!

U94.....back in action!!!

I've had a real mixed bag in 1941. I've often been ignored, but I've also been hunted with significant effort. Strangely, it seems easier than 1939-40, but maybe that's because I'm open-ocean hunting instead of around Britain. One thing I've noticed, and commented on here, is that bad weather really hampers the escorts. Attacking in a raging storm, the escorts might not be able to get much on you.
