Default 9 May Victory Parade live?

Does anyone know if this will be streamed live on the net. Would be cool to see some Russian heavy gear rumbling through Red Square.

Don't know, but I read they will have Su25s flying down the square, and that would be worth a sight to see. Those planes look great - exactly like a fighterplane should look like.

Footage from the 2007 parade is on Youtube, I'm sure the 08 one will find its way on there eventually.

They show T90s. Nice, eh - no: evil, bad-tempered looking tanks, especially from the front. Too bad that their RHA value at front is said to be around 850 mm (with Leo2A5 rated with 1600+), the firing sequences is twice as slow as that of a trained M1 or Leo2 crew, and the engine producing just around 700 PS - with Leo2 and M1 running with around 1500 PS. low silhouette, but crowded interior. Hard to hit, but once spotted, it is not really a sprinter, especially not in reverse.

So, nice to look at - but at no cost I would like to fight a Western tank in these. In the end it is just a beefed-up T72.

The Su 25 is a close support/strike plane.
But your right I love them too. (as long as they aren't used to blow me to pieces..)

Damn typos - Su-27 i mean, of course. The Su-25 looks like a plucked rooster. no need to let their sight ruin a parade.

That's a matter of taste. I just love the look of the frogfoot.

Su-27 looks beautiful.

Su-25 looks MEAN.

I think the Mi-24 has a certain brutish beauty to it, too.

A former boss of mine, a correspondent, once told me "the Frogfoot looks like a flying hammer and sickle."

Perfect description!
