Default GTAIV earns over half a billion in one week

This first week has seen over 6 million GTAIV games sold, earning Take Two over $500 million, hopefully that level of sales for Take Two will stop EA's hostile takeover in it's tracks.

Makes you feel very greatful that Ubi still consider the SH series viable.

I'm not surprised, it really seems to have been bettered from the earlier GTA games. Pretty much every review gives it very high points.

I pre ordered the PS3 version via Amazon (SS i hope got the kick back)
Have been very impressed with what i have played so far.
The thing i most like about the GTA games is that the is so much more to do than the main story missions.
I just hope that Take Two stays out of EA's dirty hands.

So how come people are not bitching about the "outrageous" profit from video game producers like they do for oil companies?

No video game producer should have profits of $500,000,000,000 in one week!

EA already tried once to take over Take-Two and it did not go over well. Hooray for that!

As long as it doesn't mean they turn their attentions back to Ubi!

It's been getting rave reviews here with full marks across the board, that's even with an Australian version that's been toned down so it coud be released.
