Default Nvidia driver

Having been frustrated in the past with atttempting to update my Nvidia driver - "Nvidia setup error" - can not find any harware compatible, etc etc. I came upon anew driver (April -08) that I installed with no problem. running xp32bit

Here is the link.

Don't know how much of a difference it may make, but an updated driver can't hurt.

Default Caution

Welcome aboard.
There are many threads concerning Nivea drivers. I suggest you do a forum search before you change you driver, as there have been a lot of problems with them.

I have been runing the PNY GeForce 8500 PCI Express 16x card since Christmas of 2007 with no troubles other than having to download the video drivers from NVidia.

Somebody told me to never use the drivers that come with the card but to d/l the lastest ones from the web-site.

So far, I've had no complaints. Its running well on WinXP 32bit.

Iget the horrible shimmering effect which makes the game look horrible at night. There was a fix posted ages ago but I'll be damned if I can find it!

not me brother, even my wife has commented on how great the graphics look with the new video card. Shimmering water, the reflection of the moon at night. I like mine.
