Default GWX 2.1 Crash

Desperately need some guidance with getting my program up and functional. I've uninstalled everything and reinstalled the basic with patches to 1.4b, deleted the file SH3 form my documents file then loaded GWX 2.o and started a career. Attempted to add WS_colored_contacts_w_w0_black-tails but it didn't work so I removed it and tried installing GWX 2.1. It would load but when I tried to continue with the career I had started with GWX 2.0 it would crash. Then I would be forced to uninstall everything and start all over again. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I don't think GWX 2.1 can be installed over any mods. You have to install 2.0 and then 2.1 directly, and then any mods you want after that.

A good idea is to use JSGME to install later mods like the 'Tails' one. That way if it doesn't work you can remove it again with no trouble.

Oh, and WELCOME ABOARD!

I have had to abandon GWX 2.1 due to chronic instability.

Doesn't seem to matter what I do, I can't get it to run reliably (or at all sometimes).

Clean install SH3 patxh it up to 1.4b.

Read the GWX install guide and follow it exactly.

Install GWX 2.0 then patch it to 2.1

Only then should you start a career.

If you want to install any mods use JSGME.

I've had zero issues with GWX.

Yes you must uninstall all folders and then go into your program files on the C drive and uninstall the ubisoft folder containing SH3 then reinstall SH3 then GWX (do not add any mods at this stage) then GWX 2.1 should install right.

Not sure what "WS_colored_contacts_w_w0_black-tails" is but have you tried a clean reinstall without adding this?

SH3+1.4b+SH3Cmdr+GWX2.0+GWX2.1+OLCstuff+(add GWX/OLC modfiles to SH3 Commander)+Skins+JSGME+(JSGME:ActivateMods)

never failed here (once i figured out the right order...)
