Default Any XXI Player?

Just wondering, does any of you has ever bought a XXI model with clean .cfg file? Since it needs 30 000 renown i guess it is too much to afford it or you must sink alot of big ship!

My current Kaleun has only completed 7 patrols but his renown is 20,000 already so it's not that hard to get an XXI.

Wow, you must be a great shot, or don't purchase any upgrades!

I also wonder about that during my first career. But subsequently with better patrol results and frugality in buying other assesories I can usually afford the XXI as soon as it becomes available. I think there is a thread somewhere regarding this issue about what items (detection avoidance, early warning) you should spend your renown on and what items (radar, fancy eels, etc.) you should pass.

I use SH3 Commander to get it. I really don't think avg 60 000 tons-patrols are realistic.

Some player here seem to think it's a good idea to play trough the whole campaign. That's also something I don't do. My average career has 5 patrols.

I'm giving away 999,000,000,000,000 of renown to the first person to send me £100.

It's a steal people, bargain of the century.

I don't get it.
Meaning.....why the need to be a great shot or starve yourself of upgrades when you can just as easily tweak the delta renown figure

Where does one tweak this 'delta' renown figure?

I really want to buy FaT type torpedoes but I don't want to spend te renown.

@surf_ten

Go to C:\Documents and Settings\Jim\My Documents\SH3\data\cfg\Careers\the name of your Kaleun.....Patrols_0 CFG....the delta renown is at the bottom.

CAUTION....only change whilst in port, never mid patrol
