After 9 patrols spanning 6 months real time including restarts for major mod installs, GWX 2.0 and so on, I was looking forward to a posting to Lorient or somewhere nice and sunny, I had a good record, no crew losses, minimum damage and a modest tonnage. I'm on 89% realism & d.i.d. Last night orders were to dock at Lorient, Hooray, off i went, blew up a couple of merchants en-route and docked. Spent this morning adjusting my Patrol Log. All is well, or so I thought. This evening, booted up SH3 Commander on loading i got a message to the effect 'Retired for training' Aargh, bugger.
What to do? I'm thinking I've got GWX 2.1 let's start from scratch, so now I'm back in August 1939 at Wilhelmshaven, is there no escape? Does this sort of thing happen everytime I'm to get a posting somewhere else? Herr Trigger. |

just turn off the option in SH3 commander. You have "simulate realistic career" checked. Uncheck it and you can go as long as you want.

You can always "Unretire" as well.
