Default A "hit the key once to max TC" someone?

"Npad +" seems to be worn out? Fingertip stiffness?

Get yourself an extra key to max TC with only one touch!
Nice to race the Kiel Channel.

Goto ...\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Cfg\commands_??.c fg and open with Notepad.

Scroll to

[Cmd5]
Name=Time_compr_increase
Ctxt=1,2,6,9
MnID=0x3F010001
Key0=0x6B,,"Npad +"
Key1=0x56,R,"V" <= add this line to press V for max TC

Reads: 2nd Key 0x56 (code for V), Repeated (R), "V"

IMPORTANT: to make it work disable the "focus on event camera" to free "V" !! Ever used it?

[Cmd30]
Name=Focus_on_event_cam
Ctxt=1
;Key0=0x56,,"V" <= adding ";" tells the game to ignore the line

Love the "focus on event camera"?
Choose another key you never use.
Maybe "B" for the googles? I bring'em up turning the mousewheel.

Search for "B" in your command.cfg.
(CTRL+F => "B")
Disable the line showing the assignment by inserting ";"
Copy to [Cmd5]
Change Keynumber to 1
Add R between the commata
Save changes

You may even add a second command to "Npad +" - I didn't try this because the Shift key is far away from Npad + . Obviously you'd have to press two keys to max TC.

[Cmd5]
Name=Time_compr_increase
Ctxt=1,2,6,9
MnID=0x3F010001
Key0=0x6B,,"Npad +"
Key1=0x6B,Rs,"Npad +" <= add this to max TC by pressing Shift+Npad +

Reads: 2nd Key 0x6B ,Repeated (R) Shift (s), "Npad +"

As allways: bacdafucup!

Shall I call it the "SingleKeyMaxTCMod"? SKMTC by Mittelwaechter :p
Don't know weather someone came up with this before. If not one of the cracks may make it JSGME compatible. I never did some research on how to feed JSGME.

Sounds like a cracker of an idea to me!

But why not use the multiplication key ( * ) on the NumPad? It's close to the other two TC keys and you would be "multiplying" the TC+ to equal a single keypress.

You could also use the NumPad division key ( / ) to set TC back to 1.

Neither of these keys are used in the game, to my knowledge.

You can use any key you like.

One hit TC increase - add to [Cmd5]

Key1=0x6A,R,"*" <= for the Npad * (Good idea Graf Paper! )

TC normal (1x) - add to [Cmd6]

Key1=0x6F,,"/" <= for the Npad / (but I guess most use "Enter" modded by GWX)

If you are right, you don't have to disable a key.

Btw - after some research I think JSGME would replace the current commands.cfg completly. If I try to make a JSGME compatible version of my TC modification you'd had to use my layout of commands.cfg.

Please one of the enlighted ones stand up and tell me if this assumption is correct.

I guess it is necessary to manually insert the additional keys to avoid ruining your individual layout. Or am I the only one to run a personalized commands.cfg?

:hmm:

You might want to swap your Fire Torpedo (Numpad Enter) key with your Pause (Backspace) key. Then when you hit your Enter key, you come out of time compression into pause. Hit Enter again and you are back at 1x TC.

Great idea MW! I was looking for binding a key to TC

But I think I'll try to bind a key to 64x. Or maybe both? :hmm:
