$285 per month

that is so cheap around $70 a week a house like that would be around $350 a week
here.

Edit
Is that a student flat?

Plus I'd hardly use the utilities, as I'd be in college.

However, its unfurnished, but I'd sleep on the bloody floor if I could save money

Thats some good looking Digs. Jump on it. You can't get a cardboard box in Southern California to live in for $285.00 a mo.

Hey! It's right down the street from McDonalds too.

Furniture? No problem. Goodwill store, secondhand store and yard sales.

When I was going to school in Southern Cal I stayed in an apartment literally 3 minutes walk from campus. I shared a two bedroom with three other guys, think I paid a little over $400/month IIRC. It was sweet!

And heat, air and cable are included? That is such a great price there's gotta be something wrong with it. Better do your homework on the place, and the neighborhood, before signing any rental agreements.

That's cheap. "Where's the catch" cheap.

Furniture... Well, the trick is to drive around college neighboorhood around the end of the semester, or move in time. College student ditch crap around like you wouldn't believe.

Seriously, just walking around the dorms during move in or move out week, when I was in college, you could furnish a room. Going around the neighboorhood I lived in the last two years was even better - I'm talking about barely used stuff, here.

Of course, don't expect brand new high quality stuff - But hey, college is the only time of your life where dumpster-diving isn't frowned upon.

The catch is that if you walk out your door on that street, it's likely you'll be shot where you stand.
Simply put, bad neighborhood.
