Hi, just stumbled on this & looks very good, even multiplay!

I took the plunge and purchased a copy online, the specs are very good but need a fairly good machine to run it, 1gig minimum ram for a start, you can play anything from ski jets to large ships such as Queen Elizabeth, Titanic & large freighters & tankers in varied weather conditions, can sink if damaged below waterline etc etc.

I've got this on disc. It's fun, but I did get a little tired of it after a while.

Virtual Sailor + mods beats it anyday, I would suggest

Subs, sailing boats, cargo ships, different weather effects etc.

I was looking at this too some time back,the ships look arcadish to me in the pics,but it looks like it could be fun to skipper the Titanic into a berg

There is a new expansion pack that changes the look & feel of the whole thing apparently, I joined the forum before purchasing & is very active, I asked what it was like & got all 100% thumbs up from quite a few members,

so till I receive it (in transit) I can't comment much further!

I's fun for a while, then becomes rather boring. It has huge potential. Whenever I play it these days I spend most of that time thinking of all the ways it could be 100 times better.....

I have Trainz 2004 & 2006, and yes I got bored with it, no multiplay kills it to me.

I've been told this is multiplay (with 1.3 update) online & lan, I have purched it mainly for this reason to link up with my Son, will just have to see.

Do you know if it's moddable Enigma?
