Default Replay viewer?

Is there an external replay viewer for DW like there is for SC?

If not, if your replays saveable by editing the INI, then how can you load them to view them later?

Thanks.

No, and renaming the file of interest replay.dat, placing it in the DW folder, marking it read-only, firing up DW again, loading the same scenario, and exiting. Don't forget to take the read-only flag off when you're done.

Simply pretend DW does not have any replay at all, it's pretty close to truth anyway.

I seriously don't see why they don't add 3D replayability to it. I mean, the replay has all the information about the movements and everything that happend durring the mission. How hard would it be to make the existing 3D engine that runs durring the game be able to just use that data and recreate the mission in 3D ?

Maybe someone with programming skills can write one if the replay file is decodable. I mean someone wrote a replayer for City of Heroes that pretty much does just what I said above. It takes the list of movements and then just uses the actual game's 3D engine to play them out. In that program, you can even look at the list of movements and characters in the scene and everything, and take them out, change them around, remove menues.. change dialog... etc..I'd imagine we may need a SDK for linking it with the game's 3D engine though unfortunately (Correct me if I'm wrong).

This would be a boom to budding machinamae makers who want to make Dangerous Waters movies.

Hello guys, my first time to reply to anything in this forum.
First I would like to say, you guys continue to impress me. I aggree with Blacklight, and maybe there is another way around this.

About me:
I have silent hunter iii, and iv, I had 688(i), and SC. Now I have DW, and I enjoy it from time to time. Now I know that all these games have very different simulation and gameplay qualities. I know nothing about computer programming. But I just thought that if the replay cannot be altered, then perhaps at least, a mod (unless it already exist) that would allow the player (after death), to see truth, and visit any platform (3D), similar to silent hunter iv MP. Instead of waiting for the remaining few players to die out. As far as making movies, I have seen a few, and I think as long as you have a 3D model, you should be able to get good results, even if it isnt replay. Thank you for your time, and I will still enjoy the game/sim regardless.
