I don't have a previous version of SH3 Commander installed, i have already started a career and i want to install the SH3 Commander v3.0.(GWX user of course)
Is it safe? Should i finish my current career first? Secondly, I read somewhere something about "rollback". It has to do with the SH3 Commander if that is correct. Any clues? ![]() Again, sorry for this kind of question. I know such questions can be boring for someone to reply but.... please.... Thank you in advance! P.S. Any guidelines posted somewhere for SH3 Commander? |

You can use SH3Cmdr at any point in your career without any problems.
The Rollback Function in SH3Cmdr is there to make sure that you "clean" your installation from all the files SH3Cmdr has put into your SH3/GWX directory. Use the Rollback function before you Enable/Disable mods (you have to be at Port to alter the mods) and your installation will work fine. Foe more information I do suggest you read the brilliant SH3Cmdr Help file and the FAQ Jaesen put with the program. It does answer all your questions. If you still have problems or you're not sure about something give us a shout ![]() ![]()

excellent advice from melnibonian mate glad youve decided to use commander....it adds so mutch more to sh3 gwx. you wont be dissapointed. PLEASE remember to roll back commander if youre modifying sh3...that means any kind of tweaking.....get into the habit of rolling back commander when you shut down if you can....in fact i think maybe commander 3.0 has an auto rollback feature.......it can be easy to forget....... believe me....and things can go t***s up:rotfl: :rotfl:

Yup, Sh3Cmdr3.0 does have an option to enable automatic rollback. I've enabled that myself, 'cause then you just don't forget to rollback before enabling or disabling mods. [I sometimes wonder if it makes a difference at all gamewise, ie if you're always doing the rollback at the end of every game session is it making a difference in terms of your patrol setup? I haven't a clue, really, but imagine it's reloading fresh randomised files eg if you opted for random breakdowns or sabotage, it reloads so you might have a different scenario each time].
