I want to change the default speed setting on my torpedoes from slow to fast.

anyone know how I can do this?

A work-around would be to change the slow setting speed to your 'fast' speed and the fast setting speed to your 'slow' speed using SH3 Inspector. The downside is, of course, that the indicator would always read the reverse of what is actaully happening. But the upside is that you wouldn't have to change anything to launch a high-speed torpedo.
