NSM (Natural Sinking Mechanics) takes out the hitpoints of the ships, and replaces it by a more natural and logic solution. Now you need to spread your fire on big ships, because hitting the same spot will not do anymore. It is all about how much you take away from the floating-force a ship has.
I use it since I use SH4, and I like it better then the default. The ships also won't sink in hyperspeed, but will sink in a much more natural way. Sometimes taking 30 minutes to just a few minutes. It all depends on how and were you hit your target. One time I got a ship down to its bow, when it was stuck vertically. I needed to give it a few extra hits with my deck-gun before it became a new house for the fish. |
