ATI cards and sun halo??

A while back i read that ATI cards dont display the sun halo/glow correctly in sh3.

I was just wondering what the difference was, and can anyone post some screens of what its supposed to look like, since i use an ati card i kind of feel like im missing out on somehting ever since i read about this bug.

Ive posted a couple of shots below of the sun at various times of day and to me it looks ok, but having never played on an nvidia card i wouldnt know what im missing...

It works fine on my ATI/Sapphire X1650 pro. Maybe it's the drivers.

The sun is the same as yours on my ATI Radeon x300se.

From what I've read I think the problem is limited to SH4. I have an ATI 9600 series and it looks great.
