LWAMI 3.08:Top speed of Seawolf Class SSN is 46 knots!
Hello everybody,
I have made some sea trials of SSN-21 Seawolf in DW 1.04 LWAMI 3.08.Maximum flank speed is 38 knots, speed in 90 degree turn is 35 knots, emergency blowing main balast tanks at steady course and flank speed boosts Seawolf up to amazing 46 knots while surfacing! Don't you think that emergency blow of main balast tanks as well as ordering flank speed could be quite helpful while making torpedo evasive maneuvers? With best regards, Stan. |

lol, yes if you don't mind being heard up to china. Let alone wasting your compressed air that you need to launch your torps. Its a one off measure and a desperate one if all else fails.

I use this technique in multiplayer matches - it is effective if you do it under appropriate conditions (engagement geometry and timing). BTW, I tend not to drive a Seawolf and the actual speeds are lower than 46 kts.
