Like the title says; is it possible at all to port the campaign missions from the old EA's 688i HK to DW via the mission editor? I know the editor can convert the Sub Command missions, but I have seen nothing about the 688i ones. So before taking the pain of searching for my old 688i CD, installing the game, copying the missions etc., I thought I might just ask

I think that SC is able to convert 688i missions into SC. Thus you could convert them to SC and then later on to DW. One tiny problem even if this works ... all useraction triggers will be gone because DW doesnt have them.

The Dangerous Waters mission editor actually says that you can import "688(i) or Fleet Command" missions. I've done it with a mission I created for Sub Command. So, since it says so I'm pretty sure you could import those scenarios.
The only problem with this is that 688(i) contains some platforms that are not in DW, such as the FS 1500 in the Columbia missions and the RoRo in the Adriatic missions. I suppose it wouldn't be too hard to figure out something to replace those with though. |

OK, thanks to your indications I found that I could import the 688i missions into the Sub Command mission editor, but now the problem is that all units seem to be moved from the original position in 688i
