Default [REQ]Torpedo plane

Not sure if anyone remembers or can point me in the right direction. At some point, someone here submitted a working torpedo plane. It came in the form of a MOD from memory. Can anyone point me in the right direction, or PM me with a link for upload.

Keep in mind that it may be studied/butchered/modified in the name of Neptune. The god of the sea cares not for sky creatures, but needs specimens as the pacific is depressingly devoid these days.

The stock SH4 torpedo planes work.

I think the mod was to get the US plane to drop right (it did something screwy like dropped backwards or something).

Yes, and all bugs should have been fixed with patch 1.3 or 1.4. I play 1.4 and I do not have the torpedo planes mod...but they work properly.

Ahh, ic. Has anyone seen a japanese plane drop one effectively?

Reason I ask, is currently i'm doing bomb and loadout changes to aircraft... I even managed a few CTD's. Was hopeing to make a specifically anti-submarine B6N2 torpedo plane with radar.

Ohhh ehrm...I was speaking about US Torpedo bombers, dunno about the japanese ones...I never noticed malfuncioning but I 'm not sure ..
But I think that If UBI fixed US bombers they would have fixed Japs as well.
(or at least I hope so..)

The japanese sent out planes armed with torpedoes to patrol for submarines?

Seems... unlikely.

I think he refers to carrier based torpedo bomber for use against US battle groups..

I'm struggling to get a second source though. Anyway, I can't seem to get the newly created aircraft to do anything when it detects me... it just flys past like it was pete search plane. Also struggling to force a particular loadout for the plane when it is sent from an airbase. Anyone else tried to get particular loadouts from planes generated at airfields? (pretty sure it is selecting the "Basic" loadout feature... pretty sure that makes it purely search orientated) Even when I disable the two out of three loadouts I dont want, the basic config seems to be unescapable.

I can add randomn groups for the result, but requires adding all the waypoints. No biggie I guess, just more time consuming.... lost track of how many hours spent on this project so far. On another note, the Kate works perfectly for torpedo runs, 1.4 patch tidied them right up.

The idea was to put them in VERY limited numbers, close to the home islands late in the war... they would give you a headache if you stayed surfaced. I spawned 25 of them on me and they scored about 15 hits. My initial efforts was creating an airbase just for them... but this has proved wasteful for time... unless I can find some way to force their loadout... I tried adding entries to the .mis files and all sorts of tricks... no joy.
