I've heard it's a fantastic card and works very well with FSX (my "other" love).
I won't get it if it's not a good card for SH3 though. *edit* currently running a 7600 gt Thanks -Antiacus |

I don´t have the card, but I am considering it. Definitely now that it is cheaper than ever!

Why shouldn't it be good in SH3 if it's good in FSX?

I am using a HD2900XT in my current rig... its a very similar card, same amount of texturing units, shader processors etc.
Basically the HD3870 uses the same chip with a few minor improvements and a slightly higher clockspeed but slightly lower memory bandwidth. So overall HD2900XT and HD3870 are almost identical performance - wise. I can play SH3 with 24x (Edge Detect) antialiasing, 8x anisotropic filtering and high quality super sampling adaptive antialiasing... and its smooth as silk. Make sure you always use the latest ATi Catalyst drivers, they release a new driver every month. Often drivers bring increases in performance and stability.
