Hiya,
Decent OC that, But have you tested for artifacts ?? If not try atitool the beta version (yeah works great with nvidias) General rule of thumb for me on vids is 10% oc is usually 100% obtainable Higher that 10% your lucky and cards nice but may need better cooling So offhand i would say damn decent oc, But may i suggest a lower mem and up the gpu Ciao Def |

Not bad. I did the same to my ATI x1900 XTX. O/C it still runs Crysis fine, and if it can do that, I am good to go for pretty much any other game. My stock speeds at 648/774. O/C I am at a safe temp with speeds of 688/792. It gets me to 23 FPS for full detail mostly w/ DX10 light sourcing, etc. in Crysis for the GPU test (which is not a valid in game test since it stresses the card by moving fast over highly detailed terrain - something that won't happen in game, not even when flying the aircraft in game), which means in game I am over 30 FPS constant.
If i can manage that, it is not quite yet time for a new GPU yet. When i start chunking in some game, then I'll buy a new GPU. I'm milking this one for all its worth because I originally paid $600 for it. -S |

How does you 1900xtx run dx10? I thought it was a dx9 card?

The eVGA 7900GTX 512MB Superclock version came factory overclocked at 690MHz and 1760MHz memory.
Its quite possible to stably overclock a 7900GTX to over 700MHz / 1850MHz, but watch your temps. If you want to get a good overclock, use an aftermarket cooler, I think Zalman makes a nice cooler for the 7900GTX, as does Thermalright. |

Zalman makes decent coolers indeed, use their 9700-CU for my processor, an opteron 165 currently runing a 56% overclock, so thats 2.8ghz instead of the stock 1.8. Can go as high as 3.1 for benchmarking but my motherboard cant supply ennough voltage to get it stable at anything over 2.85 for everyday use.
Allso when it comes to overclocking the thermal interface material used can make a huge difference, personaly I recomend Coolabs LiquidPro, but if you use it make sure it does not comei nto contact with aliminium as it corrodes it quite rapidly, copper and silver on the other hand work just fine. |

I put a Thermalright cooler on my 8800GTX (factory overclocked, not overclocked further). The stock cooler delivered 75C idle 95C loaded, with the aftermarket cooler went to 50C idle 75C load. Used good ole AS5 thermal paste.
