"Amber Room" found?

If so it could make for some nice exchnage between Germany and Russia: the "Beutekunst" the Soviets have stolen from Germany for the Amber Room the Nazis have stolen from Russia. since both deeds have been commited in the name of two ruthless criminals, Stalin and Hitler, and both men have the blood of millions at their hands, I would not say that germany owes the Russians or the Russians owe the Germans to give back their prey to the other, and not return what they haven stolen themselves.

IF it really is the amber room.

I agree somewhat; not because I agree that the Russians took it for the cause of Stalin or that I want to get into the whole Stalin = Hitler or not, but because well, I think the war is long over and it belongs back in Germany, whatever or whoever it was taken for.

Ironically, I don't think we actually need the Amber Room so much anymore since it was superbly restored. Saw it myself a summer ago

Putin would love the gesture of returning it though, and it would be a great gesture of reconciliation if he traded it back for art taken from Germany.
