Hi guys
Just wonder if anyone has tried to run or knows if SH4 can be run under Win98SE as SH3 could? The only problem when I ran SH3 under Win98 was I could not save while on a patrol in a campaign but only when in port which was no big deal to me. Thanks CD

Sometime in 2006 there was an update in the DirectX SDK that made the DirectX games not being able to run on Windows 2000. So that's why the requirements say: XP/Vista only.
So, no, you can't run SH4 on Win98 (or Win2000). Sorry about that.

First; why would you want to play it on Win98SE in the first place, LOL??
Second; I think the memory and graphics limitations of Win98 would preclude the game running well, if at all, in any case. Even if it did run I'm betting that you would be unable to enjoy the game in all it's graphical glory. WOW! I thought I was a hardcore holdout for upgrading Windows.....LOL. ![]() |

I've actually just installed an Formula 1 sim (running F1 Challenge modded up for the 07 season) and the only way to get it to work on Vista is to run it in Windows 98 compatability mode.
