A great majority of the states are running their election primaries today, that's why it's "super".

Results so far

At the moment, it looks like McCain and Obama are leading for their respective parties. Not really a surprise for me, although I guess it could change when the rest of the results come in.

EDIT - now Clinton is leading; yes this could go either way for the rest of the night; I'll refrain from taking any more guesses as to who will win the most delegates for the democrats until this is over.

I was just about to comment that to me it looks like a tight race, VERY exciting.

I can't remember a race as wide-open as this has been for so long with this many candidates still alive. Still have to wait for results from the western states. So far this still hasn't been a totally decisive night for any of the candidates.

California will be very important, it could go either way. Im suprised Massachusetts went for Cinton even when the Kennedys have been touring with Obama.:hmm:

While I think the Republican contest may well be decided tonight (at least for all practical purposes), I think the Democrat battle is likely to go on for some time yet... Very interesting stuff! I am a bit surprised at Obama. However he comes out tonight, I think he'll definitely remain a strong contender, and as I said in the other thread, he stands to gain from this race being as tight and unpredictable as it is.
