Default Misc GWX thoughts and offers.

Floating Drydocks are Warships but why?
They are named same in the MB and i cannot differ the sunken one from a raised one...can we specify this in gwx 2.1?
the Sub loadout for the drydocks shows a XXI... i would have loved a IX or the popular VII in order to recreate a Harbor traffic file for Kielthey buikt a shatloadof VIIs there.
They need a new shape tga File, i got one ready to be used, square black instead of DD shaped.
anyone interested?

That big white high precision slideout compass.... needs the inner compas removed and replaced by a tpdown view of a german Sub, black on white background.
Nose up tail down
that way you will always know where you are turning towards, turning left or turning right.
(hoping you take the right turn)
therwise that tool has helped me sailing precisely where i want to go to, GOOD JOB

Can we have a german Type Z25 DD anyone?

If i were to put a LOT more traffic into Harbors, based on GWX work... would any one be pissed off if i were to share it with the rest of the world?
more minelaying ops in the Northern Sea, DD and Sperrbrecher Escorts out inot Biscaya, a few Condors on the RND file, and the odd Italian Sub approaching La Palice, just north of Bordeaux.
(there is a lot of potential in THAT file)

Does Someone have a Ship we could use to create a true Flakkreuzer from? NIOBE?
:hmm:

Another negative about using your deck gun is that you are definately DETECTED, which has long term effects on your relationship with aircraft. -snestorm

I like that idea. Will probably make it for my install. But why settle for a black sub on white background? Why not colour image of a U-Boat on a transparent background? So you have a external compass with the U-Boat acting as a needle.

However, I doubt it will make it into GWX as it's too much of an individual choice. The compass rose is more generic and actually historically correct.

Floating docks are warships as there are no more type= to use
Ran out
Yes they come with an XXI loadout - was Rowis choice as he built them

I never added Italian subs at Pallice or anywhere in the Biscaya area as the 600 class are coastal boats and didnt venture that far from the med

By Z25 you mean
Quote:
Zerstörer 1940 - 1958 Zerstörer 1936A Class

You will probably get more luck with that being built in the Ubi.de forums
Although someone may do it

Same for the Niobe
Trouble is the Niobe is a one off
At least the Nymphe and Thetis are similar

http://www.german-navy.de/kriegsmari...tis/index.html

Why dont you create a seperate mis for your additional scripting and let me have a look
There are 3 GWX SCRs and 2 RNDs that cover the North sea so easier if seperate

Oha!
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...RL._AA115_.jpg
by the Zerstoerer that i meant i was referring to a picture i saw in a book i recently laid my hands on "Zerstoerer und Torpedoboote im einsatz 39-45" and on the last pages i see a DD in a cool config:
http://www.battleships-cruisers.co.uk/images/z31.jpg

Hull: like the British S Class or R or Q Class, larger up front than the usual 34 type Hull.

Superstructure:
Classic like the 34 or 36A

Guns
like this, one up front in A position and one on the extreme back (Z?), you recognize this i guess
http://www.navweaps.com/Weapons/WNGE...ret_Sketch.jpg

giving the DD a look like this
http://www.navweaps.com/Weapons/WNGE...36_Z39_pic.jpg

Position B was taken by an Oerlikon AAA, as was position Y(on the back side of the ship on that tower/housing) as well as X

all this is crap- you think io am talking about the Type 36A that we got (and wich i am thankful for)
I shall be back tomorrow with a proper Scan of all the ships plans- you will see the difference!

The Campaign Layers:
i just put it on top of the Campaign RND and SCR Layers... will have to create new Missions with the additions on them separately.
I agree with you, it is "a little messy" to notice the differences.... to say the very least.
I shall also write a note to explain what is what (or what i am trying to achieve) in order to get that magic green light...
:rotfl:

North Sea: 3 Patrols of minelaying/searcging
a few more routes for scandinavia to WH Cargoes

Biscaya. new escort system to Rendez Vous points off the coast after 1942 heavy escorted by Sperrbrecher, Flottenbegleiter and others to ensure a safe homecoming
RDV poiunts for each Harbor creating a small network of reliable helpers to pick you up and get you there...
