Well that is...................

Something you don't see every day west of Spain, a Japanese merchant.

They did it again............devs porting SH3 into SH4 and SH4 into SH3. Once again the cat is out of the bag. Just last week a player spied a Gato north of England. We have to tighten the reigns on the devs concerning this

No sir. If it was in GWX, we did not import elements of SH4. Japanese merchant shipping travelled the world as well which explains why a Japanese vessel was spotted near Spain in GWX.

Heck, I'd like Japanese AI subs to visit Bordeaux in GWX as they did in real life... but building 3D models and all associated files would have been too much to ask.

I recognize the vessel as SH3. There is no such vessel in SH4 that looks like that. I see lots of flags that look like that in SH4 :rotfl: It is things like that small Japanese flag in very foreign waters that make GWX what it is

Now about that submarine.....you can find the I Class in SH4. I think she is the I class. Whatever the case...she is a big one!!! Now, possibly sling it on over to SH3:hmm: Perhaps your vision could come to life!

I agree Kpt. Lehmann, AVGWarhawk, spotted one myself Feb, 1941, NW of Spain, damn near put a fish into her, took a second look, and she was a Nip merchant.

We dont import ANY sh4 content to Sh3 in GWX, anyway - the Gato you seen in sh3 is a totally different model to the on in SH4 (its no where near as detailed for a start), that gato has been in GWX since 1.0a - long before SH4 came out.
The I-400 was perhaps not best choice of Japanese sub to include in SH4 anyway as only 3 were ever built, the Japanese had many other classes that were far more common.

Why yes, I feel your warmth and embracing glow I wish I did have the time to play SH3 with the new GWX. 1.3 had blown my socks off and I'm still looking for them. I have stated this before, it was you guys/gal who got me here to stay with GWX 1.3. My interest grew from there. Next thing I know, I'm volunteering in restoration of a WW2 Tench class submarine. One of the better decisions I have made in my life. So, to put it simply, the GWX crew planted a seed (at least in my life) that grew into into something good for me and one that I enjoy very much each Saturday morning....that is the smell of diesel fuel from the Fairbanks/Morse diesels aboard the USS Torsk. You see, across the internet connections friendship grew and multiplied. New interests became apparent. Volunteering to restore things that are WW2 came to light. I know at least two others who from the interest of submarines/uboats and frequenting Subsim, playing SH3/GWX and messing with SH4 have also volunteered to restore and keep another WW2 icon....USS Batfish. The likes of SH3/4 and GWX bolster conversation (for better or worse), keep an interest and keep the past alive concerning a time that changed the world forever. Don't think for a minute that GWX was nothing more than a super mod. I dare say, the uboats have probably not have been studied in detail as found here at Subsim SH3 mod forums. That is really something if you think about it.

Anyway, if any of you see the Japanese vessels in SH3, please sink them, Ultra has confirmed an attack at Pearl Harbor!
