I know I could have added to another one of the many threads, but I wanted to say thank you personally.
I've been doing another install today (decided to keep GWX 1.03; career in progress). Anyway, I am still configuring and tweeking, but I like what I've seen so far very much. A beautiful piece of work. A couple of questions: (1) Is default GWX2's buoyancy the same as the reduced option of 1.03? (2) I have manual 2.04 - but I don't see an explanation of a "merged campaign"? (3) I don't see what are "enhanced damage effects". Is that graphics or ship behavior? I know it is but one small thing, but I love the new slide out nav compass. Thanks - looking good!

Let's see if I get shot!!
![]() Buoyancy is the same as 1.03 without reduced. Enhanced Damage Effect is more eye candy for the most part. Merged campaign is the Black sea and Med combined with the main campaign. So load times would be increased. If I'm mistaken, Give me a smoke, hold the blindfold! I'll take it like a man!! ![]() |

BANG
:rotfl: The 1.03 optional mod for reduced bouyancy is now part of the main files and intergrated Merged campaign is the Black Sea and Indian Ocean merged with the main Atantic\North sea\Baltic etc files so yes load times will go up If you are not planning a trip to the IO or BS then no need to use the merged mod Close mate ![]() |

What is the VIIC41 Player Sub option? I also cannot find that in the manual.
Thanks.

Hi Markshot,
The VIIC/41 optional mod gives your player sub the external 3D model of a Type VIIC/41. It must be enabled separately following your selection of a Type VIIC/41 in-game. It does not change the max diving depth or other physics though to further reflect VIIC/41 capabilities. If you use SH3 commander though, IIRC it does have an option to give your sub VIIC/41 depth capabilities. We are glad you are enjoying GWX sir. ![]() |

Well, I was going to start a new thread, but this was is so close to the topic I was going to raise that I will post here.
The simulated thermal layer (the one that defaults to 300m) in SH3 Commander which is randomly set ... there is nothing special which I need to do to enable that in SH3 Commander other than allow it to launch SH3? I didn't see any check boxes for simulating that. I like the concept, but I wish that it was a partial degradation of sonar as opposed to a magic wall. In any case, I suppose the best thing would be to exit the game from time to time even when you have a few hours to play so that re-randomize from time to time ... if only it didn't take so long to load! ![]() Thanks.

It is in the manual under the "Type VIIC/41 U-boat model" discussion in the "GWX Options" section. Pablo
