Default Beer is getting expensive

I just walked out of the beer store with only 5 beers and paid $30 for it. This is getting nutz! I might have to invest in my own brewing equipment.

In case anyone is asking why, there is a hop shortage, especially in Europe but affecting everybody.

My most expensive was a 11.3 ounch bottle, but the 2x Double Bastards I bought were 22 ounce. I have 1x 16 ounce, and 1x 12 ounce. So $30 bought me, 83.3 ounces of beer. Not much I might say. A few years back, I would have paid close to $20 for the same.

I've got a bucket of red ale buzzing away right now. Should be ready to bottle in two weeks. 800 ounces... cost me... $20!

Expensive for 'off licence' (as we call them in the UK) beer. Whilst on the subject I have just come back from Iceland where a pint set you back anywhere between £4 - £5.50 in the local pub. A Southern Comfort and lemonade and a pint set me back around £12 a throw.
