Default S-36 Long Overdue

NEWS FLASH: Lieutenant Commander John Hamm and the Crew of the S-36 were declared overdue and presumed lost 1 month ago today, however an astonishing discovery made by a mess crewman onboard (Ship name ommited) found a log book floating in the water while dumping the ships garbage overboard, the log book found to be in bad condition was hard to make out however the last entry in the log book may be just the clue that is needed to determine the fate of the S-36.

The log entry dated Dec 25 1941 as follows: Celebrating Christmas, so I thought I would go ahead and give out the medicinal alcohol to the crew to celebrate. We also need to test the ships crush depth at some point today I don't forsee any problems.

And yet another case of DUI.

Diving under the influence.

Where are they now?

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful dive.
They thought that they could take her deep and still come back alive.
The skipper, he was much to brave as he began his test;
He knew his crew and he knew his boat were better than the rest.

The mate said "Skip, I'm not so sure that this is a good idea."
The captain laughed right in his face: "You're showing too much fear."

They passed two hundred feet and then the hull gave a mighty creak.
The crew all cringed and closed they're eyes; the mate gave a wimpy "Squeak!"

Two-ten went by and the hull did groan, the guages all read "NO!"
Two-twenty came and the crew all cried; the captain he yelled "GO!"

At two-forty-five the pipes did burst, the crew began to cry;
The cook put a broiler on his head and said "We're gonna die!"

The water rose, the hull did groan, the first mate said "We're gone!"
The captain gave a shrug and said, "Hey, I could be wrong."

The ship sits on the bottom with no chance she'll ever fix.
And that's the sad, sad story of that poor S-36.

Well, you know, sometimes these things just hit you.

I thought the poor guys could use a good memorial.

Funny as I started reading the tune to Gilligan's Island came to mind. Fits perfectly. :rotfl:

Neal needs to make a "greatest posts" page to memorialize stuff like this. :rotfl:
