Weird Weather

All of a sudden the sky when dark !!! I'm running GWX2 and activated several of the options while in port. Rebooted the computer and everything works wonderfully EXCEPT the sky is black during the day. Water color is okay, clouds are okay, everything else is okay but the sky is black. Night scenes are fine. Anyone else seen this and any ideas if it can be brought back to normal!

Yes, I had this when I by misfortune changed the environmental files. You should first of all make sure that you put the four .cfgs into their correct places in SHCommander. Then, hm... have you in any way messed with the environmentals?

Not that computer literate

No, I've not knowingly touched the environmentals myself but one of the GW2 options I activated may have done that. This effect occurred immediately after initiating the following options;
* 16K atosphere
* Capt America's Icons
* Enhanced damage effects
* no medals on crew
* late war sensors snorkel antennas
* alternate flotillas
My guess would be that the 16K atmosphere may have changed something? Maybe I should de-select that option?
thanks

Assuming you are using SH3Commander, you may have installed the 16km Atmosphere or another mod without rolling back the SH3Commander files first.

Disable the 16km mod and report back

Yup,

I had this phenomenon when enabling the 16 km mod without rolling back SH3 commander. Since then I always roll back after leaving the game.

Thanks Guys

Your analysis is right on. I went ahead and disabled the 16k atmosphere and the regular daylight coloring came right back. I did indeed activate those options without rolling back SH3Commander. I'll try doing it again the right way. The other options seem to work but perhaps I should disable them all and then re-activate after roll-back.
Thanks again for your help on this.

Always rollback SH3 Commander before installing or uninstalling any mod.
