Hi mate.

Lazy reply.

However, the is still no widescreen support, so your dials & crew may get a little 'squashed' if you are applying this to a widescreen monitor.

In the downloaded archive you have:

d3d9.cfg
Readme.txt
SHIII.sdb
SP2 Rez Fix Uninstall.bat
SP2 Rez Fix.bat

Copy ALL of these into the SH3 Program Folder.

1) Run SP2 Rez Fix.bat
2) Then open d3d9.cfg & set the resolution & screenshot path.

That's it, your finished.
Enjoy SH3 in all it's glory.

Im using this and can never get a wide screen look - Is there a way to do this, my monitor is only 19in lcd not a wide screen. But if i play other games in a window and set the resolution to 1280x768 i get the widescreen look, this only works in window mode but see image below and see how it gives the false impression i got some widescreen monitor, what works with this res is everything is spread out. I can do this with SH4 and any other game i run in a window, yet not SH3

This procedure above works just fine for me on any resolution and aspect ratio I have tried, including 1280x1024, 1680x1050, 1440x900 and 1920x1080 (with some issues at this resolution involving mouse cursor, more here http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=128448 )

So thats a 5:4 ratio, 16:10 ratio and 16:9 ratio widescreen. The graphics scale perfectly for widescreen except some strething of some GUI/HUD components like dials and such, which I can't notice ever while playing to be honest. I have since the availability of this Res Fix Mod, used it to play on widescreen mode except some time on 1280x1024 monitor.

I have Windows XP SP2 and have also tried this mod on XP SP1 and it worked fine on it. Also I can confirm it works with both nVidia and ATI (as I have played on both, including nVidia 7800GTX, 7900GS and ATI Mobility 9700Pro (Laptop) and ATI HD3870. Moreover, I have used hundreds of Mods including GWX 1 and it works fine on it as well. I have never tried it in a wondow, always fullscreen.

So please check your setups and try again. It should work.

Regards.
