I think the IJN should have dumped all the Bushido "decisive battle" nonsense and hired Ducimus as their naval consultant.

Oh come on, their not THAT tough. But hey, you mix alot of books by Edward Beach, with a couple years worth of SH3 playing/modding, and i guess this is what you get. That's my excuse if they're tougher then i think, but i still say their not THAT tough.

If anything in future revisions, individual escorts will be easier as ive reduced their passive hydrophone range by 50%. Acutally puts them closer historical parameters after enviormental dampeners are factored in. Although, im using that as an excuse to toss in a chance for few more auxillary's to spawn in convoy's.

Oh, and bungo pete? I'm going to let him out of his hole occasionally, but he'll still be a RARE occurance. Just something to surprise the crap out of you. Him, and PB102.

I get a kick out of it though, these mods make the game enjoyable for me. I doubt I'd still be playing the game at all otherwise. You guys have done a lot of awesome work.

You just gatta love Ducimus.

First the carrot: " individual escorts will be easier as ive reduced their passive hydrophone range by 50%."

Than he clubs you over the head with it: "Although, im using that as an excuse to toss in a chance for few more auxillary's to spawn in convoy's. "

And then "Oh, and bungo pete? I'm going to let him out of his hole occasionally"

Never a dull moment with TMO.

Ducimus, PLEASE don't mess with the escorts sonar, they're fine.Don't turn them into Francis-Class Destroyers and Escorts, for the love of god lol They are tough now but not unbeatable, I manage to escape them in calm seas all the time on 100 realism, just have to figure them out.One more time, please don't make them easier, will take away one of the best parts of TMO.

Be careful what you ask for, cause your going to see MORE escorts then in previous versions.

okay, well if they are a little closer to historical parameters since you plan on adding more, that is fine.Just hope they don't go weak, thats what makes TMO, having to actually worry about the escorts 90% of the time.

A suggestion if you don't mind, since you said you are adding more escorts.I did this to my current version of TMO, historically accurate and adds to the game. Some of the more important single ships like tankers, assign them an escort or two, esp mid to late war when tankers were high priority. Many books I have read listed as many as five escorts of varying types escort one of two tankers, sometimes just one escort.Just a suggestion that only adds to the fun of TMO.

This is probably the largest late war convoy i've made thus far. Not all of them are this big. Most late war entries i have anywhere from 6 to 9 ships, with a chance to spawn 12 on some. Working on the last layer now. This stuff doesn't appear until late 44/early 45 in the files.

Can you guess who's coming out on rare occasions?

Not just bungo pete. There's another ship, which in american circles, was credited for killing the destroyer killer. Although interestingly, according to combinedfleet.com TROM, it didn't kill the destroyer killer. *shrug*
