This reminds me of when I first got a Playstation 2. My mum swapped the boxes so I had a pair of shoes in the PS2 box, and a PS2 in a shoe box.

This reminds me of the Ebay sale of an Xbox. No one bidding read the fine print the seller put on the post. At the bottom is said, 'For the box only'. People were bidding like mad. I think it went for $600.00. Just for the box the console is shipped in.

Santa is trying to cut down on coal.
He has his carbon footprint to consider.

As a former employee of EBGames, I can tell you what most likely happened. A less-than-honest customer pulled a fast one on a clueless employee by bringing back a PS3 box with a phone book inside and exchanging it most likely for cash. The employee should have opened the box and checked for anything fishy, but instead he/she probably taped it up and put it in the back room with the rest of the used consoles waiting to be sold. When our unfortunate subjects showed up to buy the console, they opted to save a few dollars by going with the used PS3, which was really just a phone book.
