Newbie Questions

Hi all! this forum is great and i want to make my first questions here

.
I just purchased SH4 nad the game rocks hard

and with the tutorials i found here i got familiar with the game but i still got some questions..
1)Are there any Jap Submarines?
2)Can i actually type the new heading i want for the sub, because i find that thing on thje bottom right somewhat inaccurate

.
3)And if i want to play Multiplayer, will any mod i download from here prevent me from doing so?

I know there are no Japanese subs. Headings are all point and click. I mostly go with plotting waypoints.
