Duel install help

OK, I am planning to keep my GWX 1.03 so my plan is to un-install clean up as par instructions then reinstall SH3 & 1.04 patch I'm planning to rename the SilentHunterIII folder to SilentHunterIII GWX 1.03 and moving it to C:\ as I noticed Panzer General 2 is also there. Also rename the shortcut exe as well which in theory now means I can reinstall SH3 again in it's normal location and that one will become my GWX 2.0.

Now Silent Hunter Commander I would like for both versions so should I also move one version to my 1.03 folder and the other version will remain put for the 2.0 sorry about the waffle hope it makes sense to you all.

To sum up just want the best of both worlds 1.03 & 2.0

I have some command line batch files you might be interested in then. It will currently allow SH3 1.4b, GWX 1.03, GWX 2.0, and 'test' versions of all of them. It automatically renames your \my documents\SH3, SH3 commander folder, and Ubisoft folders to whichever version you pick. You do nothing but tell it which version you want to use.

That's pretty much what I did and it works fine. I used Multi SH3 in my old (GWX 1) install, and have seperate installs of Commander for each version of GWX. This time I learned and copied my fresh 1.4b to another drive as a spare....

Nearly forgot what about the SH3 folder in my docs? Safe to move to it's new location?

If your SH3 install is unmodded and patched to 1.4 just make a copy of it in the C:\Program Files\Ubisoft folder

If its modded then rename it to anything but SilentHunterIII

Put the DVD in the drive
Select Install
Select Repair

You will then get a new SilentHunterIII folder in the Ubisoft folder

I just renamed (didn't move) the docs folder, then used Multi SHIII to point that install to the correct docs folder.
