Removing HUD while taking screen shots?

I know I've seen it on here a few times and even the keycard states that to remove the instrument displays on-screen you have to press the keypad Del key.

However,when I try it,nothing happens.....so what gives?

Numeric Del key (the one with the decimal separator)

As chairman of the stupid and pointless suggestions committee, I have a duty to contribute here. I'm away from my game computer so I can't test this out. I'm not even sure if this would make a difference. (sounds stupid and pointless enough to qualify

Is your numlock on or off? Try it the other way and see if your problem goes away.

Tried every "Del" key on the entire keyboard with the caps lock pressed and not pressed....still nothing.

Come to think of it,I've never been able to get rid of the guages no matter what patch I'm running (currently 1.4).

Curious.

Make sure your "NumLock" is on and press the "Del" button on your keypad.
