Default Hi-Res fix - what files?

Hi, can someone tell me the names of the files that the 'hi-res fix' changes/fixes please?

All it does is add d3d9.cfg and d3d9.dll, none of the game files are changed.

I don't think that is correct, the readme is:

"Just copy the two batch files and the SHIII.sdb file to your SH3 directory, and run the "SP2 Res fix.bat".(I've included a batch file to uninstall the fix should you ever need to.)
I've included the dx9res10.zip in case you don't already have it.
Thanks to Kegetys for dx9res10 and to +G for the idea of creating this zip"
I will email Sartori23 in case of no response!
Thanks anyway.

dx9res10.zip is the only res mod I ever used (thats the files i listed). This worked fine for SP1. I needed to do something with the microsoft compatability toolkit to make it work with SP2.
Sounds like you have a sp2 ready version or something?

What is it that you need to know anyway?

Ah now I gotcha, I did wonder about the batch files being referred to as SP2! nothing was mentioned about Windows, I thought it was referring to some update of SH3 or some other mod, that is why the queery!

Hi Deep Six, I just got it at http://u-boot.realsimulation.com
The file is "SH3_SP2_Res_fix.zip" and is only 8.5k, if there's any problems I can email it to ya!

What is the "secret" ( really meaning what did I screw up this time) of using this mod?

I tried it on my test system and SHIII always crashes after the disk check program finishes. So I never dared try it on my main playing computer.

Here is how I installed it:

Into the SHIII folder of a fresh install patched to 1.4b I placed:

d3d9.dll
d3d9
Appfix Package
SP2 Res fix uninstall
SP2 Res fix

Then I edited the d3d9 CFG file for 1024x768 resolution.

I hit the SP2 Res fix MS-DOS batch fix file.

I tried to start and SHIII crashed. I tried the uninstall fix and the game still crashed. I removed all files and the game works.

Try using the manual way of doing it with the microsoft application compatibility toolkit...

It's explained here in the community manual:

Dragging up an old thread here but I was wondering Kaleun if you could send me this tiny (but very important!) file via email. Much obliged.

It's not available on the site that shall remain nameless.
