Default GWX 1.03 / 2.0 tech.question

Can anyone please tell me which file(s) control the compass that appears round the
player u-boat when you zoom in on the map?

I spent the morning looking for them in the GWX 1.03 files to no avail.

Any help, much appreciated.

Thankyou, are there any other files that control the display of that file?

I have the file in all my NSS_playerboat folders, but it is not showing up ingame

The file must have an alpha channel, the game uses it, not the color information.

It could be a corrupt/partial installation.

Sometimes small things like that point to such things... and is indicative that there are other files that may not have installed properly for some reason.

I know its a pain in the butt, but try a full reinstallation and see if the problem persists.

Nah, this is me working on my own personal mod. It's a bastardiseation on many
diffrent mods. (not for release of course).
I would rather try to fix it before I start again.

It disappeared after I incoporated parts of a interface mod into the mix. There must be some file
or setting thats turning it off somewhere, right?

A change in the Maps.cfg file can affect whether the compass appears around the player u-boat. Specifically, the SymbolZoom setting which should equal 10. Some mods, like OLC's GUI alter the Maps.cfg so SymbolZoom=1. This will cause the compass not to appear when you zoom in.

I'm fond of modding different mods & combining them, so I know the headaches this can cause.
