Can anyone help me with this problem...
I can't start the game-after DVD check I get "Can not initialize 3D engine" message. Should I install older graphic card drivers or what? |

Don't hit me but have you patched it to 1.4?

System specs would help, but in the meantime perhaps?

let me guess...youre with an ati graphic card and installed a driver later than 7.9?
![]() got the same problems with my 9500pro on a nforce2 chipset. it all began with 7.9 on me. after rolling back to an earlier driver alls fine again. ati really sucks. or maybe its nvidia with their poor nforce2-support ? well, decide yourself ![]() hope it helps. |

OK, step by step...
Yes, I patched it to 1.4b. I was running previous version of GWX and everything was OK. In the meantime I upgraded my configuration and reinstalled Win XP. I was planning to install SH3 when I found out that GWX2.0 is to be released so I waited for it. My system: Intel E6750 / Gygabyte P35-DS3P / 2Gb Crucial Ballistix 800MHz / Gainward 8800GTX Everything works smooth (usually), I don't have any problems with other games. I mentioned drivers in my previous post because I had Radeon 1800XT before and there was a similar problem which was caused by drivers. I solved it when I reinstalled older version of drivers. I'll try to change refresh rate first, then to install different version of drivers and I'm going to inform you what happened |

Thanks, Gezoes!
The problem was fairly simple-refresh rate had been set too high. Cheers! |
