Default 2015 Military

I need one of these to guard my house! Anyway, this is where your US Military is headed. 1/3rd of all ground combatants from the US side must be robotic by 2015.

I'd like to see what it does when it gets a feed jam or has to change a barrel, which it probably would do letting rip like that:rotfl:

Probably wouldn't happen, or rarely. But if it does - better run home! And if it gets killed, no one cares too much except for the bill to buy a new one.

I ran about 600 rds through MP5's in a realatively short period of time, and never had a jam. I've run 100 rd drums on fully auto through an M-16 without a jam. Done Magazine after magazine of fully auto through a Krinkov, still no jam. I've even been present with a fully auto Glock with a 100 rd magazine, no jam. I've only personally used the 32 rd mags on a fully auto glock. I never had a jam either.

One thing that does happen - tremendous heat. This can be overcome however with a heavy barrel.

PS. I also wholehardely push Miltec-1. Corrosion resistence is not as good as a teflon based oil, but you will never have a jam again using this stuff!!! It bonds permanently with metal when it reaches 120 F.

Im telling ya the milartary is going to one day have units of Mech warriors on the battlefield big 30foot high stomping Mechs with heat seeking missiles and 10 thousand rounds per minute machine guns packed on its arms.

Far into the future of course, but the seeds are now being sowed.

Nah, i predect a Skynet instead. I mean, if there is a real "union aerospace corporation" (of doom fame) why not a skynet? I used to drive by UAC every day on my way to work, so why not a skynet, plus, their robots! The machines will rise! :rotfl:

No reason you both can't be right.

Oh BTW Skynet already exists:

USR was around before the movie so I wonder what kind of deal they made with the producers for use of the name.

Yeah and one day the machine will the the team leader and give orders to the human team members, that will be the day

"And in the Battle of 2098 the famous ILX Mark IV robot designed by Lockheed lead a vailant charge with members of the 200th infantry division across the wheat fields to save another team and their ILX Mark III robot from the enemy, never will we forget the heroic deeds of both man and machine"

He may be, but he is also much bigger, and can a human keep a gun on target like that while moving that fast? Nope!
