Default Is there a mod that enables planes to spot you at periscope depth?

I thought I saw a mod that did this but I can't find it. So is there a mod that does this that is compatible with 1.4?

Also, is there a mod that make night surface attacks on merchants feasible?

Thanks

Really? I have TM 1.71, but I've never noticed it. I'll start paying attention to them now.

I actually just experianced this. I was happily cruising at periscope depth when there was a huge explosion. A bomb hit right above the props. I was a mazed that the diesels survived. I got away though and I am now making my way back to pearl with Hull Damage at 81

I was willing to post this picture long ago, as I had it on a book, but my scanner wasn't working well. Fortunately I found it in the web (Looking for something entirely different, as usual ).

The picture shows a Los Angeles class nuclear submarine at PERISCOPE DEPTH IN THE PACIFIC (Malaysia, to be more precise) as viewed from an airplane

Now you can have a clear idea about how easy it is to spot a submarine at periscope depth in those clear waters if the airplane flies close
