Default [REL] WWII Subvet Approved DC ver3

Here is my latest effort to create a Depth Charge audio file that is historically accurate. To be spot on is--quite fankly--impossible. They were just too loud and the shock aspect of them cannot be recreated. I'd have more luck trying to get cold water to spray out of your speakers .

However, the main problem with my earlier version was that the sound was too short. This one is longer and has "a little" more punch to it.

Again--it is approved by a WWII Subvet who heard them up close and personal.

Cheers!

That's actually the source I used for this file. I just filtered it, EQ'd some of the high end out (trying to eliminate hiss and static). Also--that audio is multiple charges so I tried to pick one out of the cacaphony to work with.

As the vet told me--"Its impossible to really duplicate what it was like. Depth Charges were felt as much as they were heard." And 300/600 lbs of TNT going off is more than most speakers can handle (although we used to attempt that volume in some of the bands I've played in ).

Cheers!

Cool idea. I'll have to make sure to pay attention next time I get dc'd so I don't get the piss scared out of me

Nice one.

Sounds better as well.

I enjoyed listening to it out on patrol today.
