Default Crash!!

sh3 crashing...

i just installed new ships, and placed a thumbs.db (included with the ijn tone i think) in the main folder, and it does not show up.... then my game crashes on start up??

help...

Most likely you have ships in that havent got a place in the english names
cfg

or you have ships in the eng names cfg that you dont have ship folders for

thats my guess.

Hi, gimpy117 - If you're saying the thumbs.db did not show up in the main folder, that's probably because it is a hidden file & not visible unless your folder options are set to 'Show hidden file and folders'. The thumbs.db is only a cache of the thumbnail pictures in a directory & shouldn't cause crashes on your system.:hmm:

The only time I've had problems with thumbs.db files in SH3, is when installing mods with JSGME. Messages like 'Thumbs.db has already been altered by the **** mod.' can appear. If you're using JSGME, did you install the ships mid-patrol or in port, as recommended? Are you using the latest version of JSGME? - 2.0.1.102. I've just discovered I'm not.lol.

nope vannila...and i may be mid partoll, but the game crashes on the start up screen...
