Perisher Campaign

Greetings all,

I've started the Perisher Campaign and in the 1st mission have successfully approached both warships without being detected. Now do I get this mission to completed stage I've already been advised of the successful approach. I'm just told to continue the mission :hmm:

Are you sure you haven't been counter-detected? If you are detected, the Teacher says, "You have been counter detected." It's easy to miss. (Note that the Teacher will say you've approached the warships even if you've been detected. But, to continue to the next mission you must remain undetected.)

If I recall correctly, doesn't it say to continue to the NEXT mission?

Hi Bill, I'm not shure because the it said "continue on with mission". When I save and exit, It still shows as incomplete :hmm:

I also think you got detected. This mission is very hard. I still haven't figured it out the couple of times I've played it. Hey Subguru, any tips??

Yes, a tip would be handy, even sitting on the Ocean floor gives you away where I thought sensors would be very hard to detect you. I'm using the latest LWAMI of course.

Problem solved. I missed the counter-detected message earlier.

Mission 1 now complete. 4 to go

She's a toughy but think about it.

OK, you guys are right. I just had to look at the nav map, and review my goals. It took some thinking, and some smart positioning, but I got through it finally. Actually the solution isn't so hard....if you think about it.

P.S. I got a headache working the problem though.

My intent was to make the player have to think, not just charge ahead. I love it when a plan works out!

In the 2nd mission, the brief says you're up against a Type 209, but it turns out to be a Type 206. It makes a pretty big difference because the 206 has a towed array.

Yes, Unfortunately the German sub Type 209 is substituted by the 206A. The mission is doable though as is Mission 3 now completed

It's still doable, but the best method to approach the mission is the opposite approach that you should take based on the intel at tasking. I'd consider it a design error.
