My 12th mission of the campaign. Patrolling the Shetlands. I have just expended my last torpedo to get one of a duo of passing destroyers when the Iron Duke passes behind me!

I bet this frustration was repeated in real life many times on both sides during the conflict.

That game is useless without a save option. I gave up on it.

Dunno about that. I use Q and the left mouse button to place myself in the assigned patrol areas and then speed up time by a large margin. Time slows down to normal once a target comes into range anyway. Once the 24 hours is up for each patrol in the target area I usually return to home base. The campaign seems to remember where I am up to next time I log in for the next round.

My God, what is Jellicoe up to !! What is he doing sending out a lone battleship !!??
Thank God you german U-boats have such limited numbers of those dastardly torpedoes.

I feel your pain. I've had that happen several times in SH3 .
