Default REQ...cheers

I have started playing 100%. Since I can not go outside the boat to watch the action I spend the time inside looking at things, etc. The sailor pictured below will throw his hands in the air after a torpedo hits. Looks like a cheer to me yet he is mute. Can some cheering be added to the sound mod of LukeFF and Co?

Default it is part of the broken phrase problems

That is actualy part of the non functioning phrases. The sound effect's and phrases are there but not tied into the actual action and trigers. Should be fixed in the 1.4 patch from what I under stand and or have heard.

If that gets fixed, the possibilities for "alternate phrases" are truly mind boggling.

It would most certantly make the game much better if they do fix that as part of the patch. Kinda remids me of another game I play on a normal basis. FSX. However they keep working on it. Maby soon they both will be great games.

Hopefully all the crew emotion sounds will be enabled. If you look in the speech folder, there's files for cheering, coughing, groans, laughter, screams, and sighs.

Thats the thing Luke. I'm playing 100%. I sent out 4 torps and dropped the scope then switched to the command room. Every time my torps hit, this guy would raise his arms like a ref signalling field goal. He is not say anything though Those coughs and such you found, can they not be made part of your interior sounds you created?

I was just watching from the corner of the control room with the free camera inside and The entire crew was cheering my third hit on a ship, this torpedo split the ship in half and he sunk rather quickly. But I was supprised to see the entire crew involved in the cheering.

Funny, but there is also sound files for snorkel depth and snorkel damaged in there too. Did the devs just copy and paste a lot of stuff from SH3 and move it to SH4?

Pretty much
The Stuka and ME 109 are still in the Sound folder
As well as Fanfara playing Deutschland uber alles

They obviously just reworked the ones they wanted

Well I guess that kept costs down, just copy and paste this and that, hope it works, on it's way we will fix it later kind of dealy I guess. Just a realy huge mod with a new graphics engine. It's fun to play and I enjoy it, many memorable moments while playing SH4. I wish some of the modders would band together and create their own sub sim.

The names are still the same, but they are used for the new aircraft just as well.
