Default California stupidity II... Streets of San Francisco

I can't believe this cr*p...

http://www.reuters.com/article/newsO...17064020071121

"Residents will be able to obtain the resident cards by presenting photo identification and proof they live in the city, such as a utility bill."

THIS shoud be interesting... A lot of these people live in a "multiple families to a house" situation... I wonder whos name the bill would be in?

"Such a move had been expected from San Francisco, which is famously liberal. Earlier this year, Mayor Gavin Newsom said he would not allow city officials and employees to assist immigration raids by federal authorities seeking up people who had committed crimes or disregarded deportation orders."

Fine. We'll ID everyone and let the criminals go because.... ????

I'll say it again.

I find it interesting that California can regulate foriegn trade but cannot regulate illegal immigration. :hmm:

I wish the Feds would go after this and tell sanctuary cities what they are doing is illegal and that federal criminal charges are available for the prosecution of mayors, city council members and all others who subvert US imigration law. If cities don't have to enforce federal law they are also obligated not to break it either.

Like i said,

I don't live in the US anymore, i live in mexico. You do know that california was orginally part of mexico don't ya? I guess by that logic, their just taking it back. So much for manifest destiny eh?

edit:
here we go, since i dont think most ppl remember this from history class back when we were kids:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexican-American_War
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexican_Cession

Not saying i agree with it, but theres nothing i can do, and nobody's doing anything about it. Voting doesnt work, because well, guess who has a powerful vote here. Soo then, only thing to do, is accept it, or move. Im liably to do both. Shame, my family's been here for 4 generations, and i have no relatives anywhere else in the country.

I also don't live in the US anymore. Haven't for a while. Funny how our perspectives change once we experience other countries, languages, and cultures. I guess the US isn't the only country in the world afterall.

You don't live in Mexico either, you live in the North American Union.
