On friday my computer crashed and I had to do a system restore and it wiped the system clean. So now every thing is working and I've installed SH3 for the first time after the crash and the current version is 1.4 and I'm trying to update the game to 1.4b and it keeps giving me a bunch a crap why it won't install such as menu/de_menu.txt is an unknown version. This is the download version of sh3 and not the DVD. HELP!!!

Ok just delete the de_menu.txt and then run the patch again
I dont know why it happens but that file and a couple of others keep giving that error and stopping patching Just delete it and the patch adds a new one ![]() C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Menu - de_menu.txt |

Well I followed your advise and it tells me that SH3.dll is an unknown version, so I deleted it tryed again, and it told me that SH3.dll is missing. So I restored it and gave me the message that SH3.dll is an unknown version. What do I do now?

1.4 for the DVD version of the game, 1.4b for the multiplayer version - UbiSoft's labeling as I recall.
