Staying where you are when "return to plotted course"

When I press the NO button "return to plotted course" I´m getting teleported to the map screen, is it possible to change something to avoid this?

An example: When I´m on the bridge watching a nice sunrise/burning Pyro, I want to be able to chose the NO, press the button and still watch that sunrise/Pyro without having to jump back from the map.

I have that trble when after I have ravaged a convoy and return to course it flips to the F5 screen...then I have to flip back...say when I wanna enjoy the explosion...dont know of a cure but im sure someone can come up with it

Perhaps it has to do with the realism settings?

Probably hard coded
The same as getting the WO to go up top automatically when surfacing
