Default The best uboot

So i wonder what uboot you prefer commanding.

In my curent carrer a was from the begining to now (november 1942) with VIIB but now just changed to a type IX/40 . Problem is that it has nothing installed on it yet and i am out of renown
I cant say witch i prefer i havent played all yet in similar situations.

The Type IX (preferably IXD2) I like to travel to faraway places and have plenty of ordnance to fight with

For me its the IXC and IXC/40 all the way.

Though, I am personally VERY partial to the IID as well.

For the North Atlantic and Mediterranean: Type VIIC. More manueverable and faster dive time than the IX's which is important as the war progresses and the Allies increase ther air cover.

For the Western Atlantic and South Atlantic: Type IXC. Larger torpedo and fuel load, and more effective deck gun. In these theaters, the risk from escorts and aircraft with the slower dive time/maneuverability is outweighed by having more torpedoes.

For Screenshots: The Type VIIB because I like the net cutter!

The VIIC for me. Like the average Kaleun i go for medium space, not many torpedoes and a s**t load of deck/flak ammo.

Type VII/C, as I hunt in the Mid-Atlantic. And alos it has the quickest dive times, which is very usefull when been attacked by aircraft.

I've grown partial enough to my type VIIB u48 that when SH3 commander retired me after 7 patrols, i handed ovver the reigns to the former Chief, and continued with the same boat fromt he same port.

I did a WaW career in the 10th tho, using a IXB outta Lorient. ended up losing the boat though, was jumped outta the sun by something i never identified and ran out of fuel.

VIIs i like in general just because they were the workhorses, they were the boats you were more than likely to be given. the ability to move faster than the pigs helps, too.

My few experiences with a XXI against elite enemies let my call it "killer"!

But my U-49 of type VIIB is my old beloved friend
